The scope of the workshop is to promote collaborations between the French and the Japanese communities involved in the production and use of high magnetic fields magnet. The three institutions located in Sendai, Tsukuba, and Grenoble/Toulous have a long history in managing high magnetic field facilities dedicated to science and technology in high magnetic fields. The workshop will provide face-to-face discussions to understand research projects and issues for each institute.
Special attention will be paid during the meeting to technological subjects and new possible fields of research. The HFLSM is particularly interested in the 33 T-class cryogen-free superconducting magnet developments that are ongoing at Tohoku could contribute to common high-field projects in the near future.
