The workshop “Magnetic Fields in Materials Research”, organized from Monday May 22nd 2023 to Wednesday May 24th 2023 at University of Science and Technology in Wrocław gives the Polish community of researchers using magnetic fields in their studies a unique opportunity to gather and transfer knowledge. Representatives of leading European laboratories are expected to present their research and the opportunities available at their home institutions. As part of the ISABEL project, the University of Warsaw hosted a workshop on two-dimensional (2D) materials from 24 to 26 October, 2022. After two years of mainly virtual training activities, this in-person event was a unique opportunity to meet researchers who are leading studies in the field of materials research. The diverse program included talks on van der Waals materials and heterostructures with a special emphasis on magnetic layered materials, which have recently drawn the attention of researchers.
