It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the one-day workshop on

Science and Technology in High Magnetic Fields

at Wolfson College (Oxford, UK) on Wednesday 6th of December 2023.

The workshop will examine recent advances in using and creating high magnetic fields, discuss the needs for further tools and developments, and create awareness of opportunities for collaborative research within the UK and with the European Magnetic Field Laboratory (EMFL) funded by the EU and the EPSRC. Distinguished invited speakers across disciplines in academia and industry will report on the use of high magnetic fields for fundamental research, the development of high magnetic fields and their integration with other research tools and techniques. The programme includes moderated discussions on further developments and community needs.

We encourage registration for flash talks and poster presentations by early career scientists, students and underrepresented groups. Registration is free of charge, and refreshments and lunch will be provided. Further details about the programme will be updated in due course here.

Please register at https://sthmf.web.ox.ac.uk/  by the deadline of 15 November 2023.

The workshop is sponsored by the EPSRC via the UK Director of the EMFL partnership, the EMFL (https://emfl.eu/), and the EU via the ISABEL (https://emfl.eu/isabel/) and SuperEMFL (https://emfl.eu/superemfl/) projects.
